An onslaught of legislation pending at both the national and state level is designed to undermine our Constitution and the rights and freedoms it protects. Members of the PA Freedom Caucus spoke about PA HB 847 at our last town hall, but more bills are being pushed through Congress and through our Pennsylvania Legislature. You can help fight back by writing your representatives to tell them to vote against bad legislation. Here are some that require immediate action:
S-686 The Restrict Act US Senate: Under the guise of protecting us from TikTok, it gives the government broad-reaching powers to surveil us and mitigate perceived National threats by any means.
HB-847 PA House: Ballot pre-canvassing (early vote counting) bill opens the door to double voting. See: Bill allowing counties to process mail ballots early clears first hurdle in Pa. House .
HB-338 PA House Gun legislation: Mandatory reporting.
HB-714 PA House Gun registration to trace and track arms.
HB-1018 PA House Setting us up for gun confiscation.
HB-731 PA House Safe storage of guns.
HB-300 PA House Fairness Act: Adds sexual orientation and gender identity to the list of protected classes under Pennsylvania’s antidiscrimination law. The finer points of this proposal go far beyond simple discrimination. Cosponsor Admits Bill Forces Pennsylvania Doctors to Practice ‘Gender-Affirming’ Medicine
