PA County Registration Activities During the 2024 General Election

Updated: Jan 30

Using the Official SURE Full Voter Extracts (FVE), the County weekly* activities are reported:

·       Adding new registrants to SURE

·         Deleting registrants from SURE

·         Changing the voter status between Active and Inactive

·         Adding registrants who moved into the county from other PA counties

·         Deleting registrants who moved out of the county to other PA counties.

The overall activity sequence is:

·         Changing voter registrant status form Active to Inactive before the August 5, 2024 Ninety-Day Voter Roll Maintenance Cutoff, presumably using a process based on the US Postal Service's NCOA Permanent Moved Out-of-PA data

·         Adding new registrants up to the November 5, 2024 Election

·         Changing the voter statuses from Inactive to Active after the election, presumably for at-poll voters whose voter status was Inactive when they voted

·         A large delete of registrants following the Election Certification.

* SURE FVEs are available on Monday mornings. The FVE dates are shown on the plots. Six data bars are provided for each FVE (in the order of the bottom legend).

The Number of voters in the 2024 General who were removed (canceled) from SURE for each county is shown in the table below. That is, their 9 digit voter ID did not appear in the PA FVE. The post election cancelations for selected Southeast PA Counties is shown in the plot.

Overall 13,225 were deleted after the 11/5/2024 election and 545 were deleted before the election, presumably MIB voters.

The party breakdown for these canceled voters: Democrat 5,903, Republican 6,353, UnAligned 1,514.
